A monument to Our Lady of Fatima, 54 meters high, will be inaugurated and blessed on November 13 in the Nossa Senhora neighborhood of Fatima, in Crato, State of Ceará (Brazil).
The inauguration will be carried out with a mass that will be chaired by the Bishop of Crato, Mons. Magnus Henrique, at 5:00 p.m. After the Mass, there will be musical presentations of Sister Kelly Patrícia, one of the founders of the Hesed Institute, and Fr. Fábio de Melo.

The inauguration of the statue is an event of the Diocese and the Mayor’s Office of Crato, and is also part of the celebrations of the Jubileo de la Esperanza 2025.
In addition, to commemorate the inauguration of the image, the Diocese of Crato will carry out, between November 10 and 13, the Diocesan Marian day, with the pilgrimage of the image of Our Lady of Fatima by the parishes of the diocese, hospitals and other establishments.
According to the City Hall of Crato, “the relationship of Crato with Our Lady of Fatima is marked by historical moments.”
“After the first visit of the world pilgrim image, arrival from Portugal 72 years ago, devotion to Fatima flourished among the inhabitants of Crato,” said the Mayor’s Office. “The airport, inaugurated at that time, was called the Virgin and, after its closing, the first monument in honor of the Holy was erected. Other spaces of the city, such as nursery, school, streets and a neighborhood pay tribute to this devotion.”
In 2014, according to the City Hall, “Crato received the first monument, with 45 meters high, until then the biggest image of Our Lady of Fatima in Brazil” and now, “with the restructuring, the new sculpture” already “has become a national reference for its beauty, consolidating itself as the largest monument in the world dedicated to the Virgin.”
The place where the new monument is located is “called Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima”, according to the City Hall, and “it also has the replica of the chapel of the appearances” of Our Lady of Fatima, in Portugal.
