63 years after Enrique Shaw, the Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE) and the Argentine Catholic Action (ACA), celebrated in Buenos Aires a Mass to honor the legacy of the husband, father and entrepreneur who is on its way to the altars.
The Eucharist took place in the Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar, in the Recoleta neighborhood, and was chaired by Mons. Mauricio Landra, auxiliary bishop of Mercedes-Luján. Relatives of Enrique Shaw, partners and friends of ACDE attended.

In his homily, the prelate highlighted the importance of remembering “the steps of God in our life” and said that “Mass is grateful memory”
“Not only remember, brothers, but also, do not stop thanking. The work, the effort, the sacrifice, the resignation, the one that others made for us to be here. Everything in a spiritual look, not only material,” because “they gave us testimony and gave us faith.”
In that sense, he mentioned the “saints of the door next door”, friends of God and men, and encouraged to “believe in a holiness that is a gift, which is a gift, and therefore becomes a permanent, constant task, not only in gestures, in steps of life, but every day of our life.”
Urging to make “Christian memory” to be able to “see the passage of God for the life of men,” insisted that “the joy of having our holiness so close is always a commitment not to forget and thank.”
The love of God, said the bishop, “when we share it, it multiplies, it never remains,” and added that “in our faith lived what we give we lose it, but we multiply it.”
“Thus the love of God, thus the same faith, thus other testimonies of life such as Enrique, of so many brothers and sisters of ours, in this soil and throughout the Church,” he said.
The venerable Enrique Shaw died at age 41 on August 27, 1962 and his legacy continues to inspire many on the way to holiness in everyday life, especially as a model for business.
His cause of canonization advances in the Vatican. In January of this year, the miracle attributed to its intercession exceeded the medical instance and on June 17 the theologian commission also approved it unanimously.
