For the first time in Spain, more than a hundred priests have attended the Emmaus Retreat adapted for priests, in an initiative that is already present in other countries such as Colombia, Mexico and Costa Rica.
The experience has been developed in the exercise house located in the town of Pozuelo de Alarcón, near Madrid, run by the Parish Cooperators of Cristo Rey, whose superior general, Father Enrique Martín, is co-responsible for the retreat together with Father Javier Siegrist. , priest of the Diocese of Getafe.
The Emmaus Retreat, born more than 30 years ago in Miami (USA) as a Catholic ministry at the service of parishes, arrived in Spain in 2009 at the hands of priest Enrique González Torres, then parish priest of San Germán in the Archdiocese of Madrid .
