On the eve of the start of the electoral process in Mexico, the country’s bishops called on the Catholic faithful to “intensify prayer” for the well-being of the nation and the success of the June 2, 2024 elections.
The Conference of the Mexican Episcopate (CEM) released a 33-page subsidy in the framework of the upcoming elections, in which the successor of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, federal deputies and senators, governors of nine states and members of local congresses and municipal presidents.
The material proposes a prayer with which the bishops hope that each citizen exercises a “free and conscious vote,” as well as for each Mexican to collaborate in the common good.
