Saint Dominic Savio, whose feast day is commemorated this May 6, one day approached Saint John Bosco and asked him to tell him how he could holyly celebrate the month of Mary. The Father and Teacher of Youth gave him special advice that made the young man look like “an angel transformed into a boy.”
In the Biographical Memoriesa set of 19 volumes on the life of Don Bosco, it is indicated that the Salesian founder advised his beloved student: “You will celebrate it with the exact fulfillment of your duties, telling your companions every day an example in honor of Mary and trying to behave in such a way that you can take communion every day”.
The adolescent saint responded that he would try to fulfill all this. Likewise, in his humility to let himself be guided, he asked him what grace he should ask for.
