After 5 years of preparation, two versions and a “maturing process”, the Vatican published this Monday, April 8, the declaration “Infinite dignity” (Infinite Dignity), prepared by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) with the collaboration of several consultants, experts and the approval of Pope Francis.
This new document on human dignity has been guided, at the express request of the Holy Father, by Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, prefect of the DDF and also author of the controversial declaration Begging for confidence.
The document on human dignity has been published within the framework of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and presented at a press conference in Rome in which Cardinal Fernández participated together with Bishop Armando Matteo, secretary of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith.
