The popular Spanish presenter Cristina Pedroche, one of the most recognized faces on national television, has revealed that she has secretly baptized her daughter, while acknowledging that she carries out esoteric practices.
At the season premiere of the podcast Little is saidthe television presenter reported that she recently baptized her daughter, born last year, in a ceremony that was held in privacy with the girl’s father – the renowned chef Dabiz Muñoz – and the little girl’s grandparents.

Before offering this information, the presenter explained that she performs some esoteric practices such as wearing bracelets against the evil eye or making wishes on the full moon and the new moon, but that she had begun to believe in God: “I am very grateful to the moon , to God and everything”, expression before stating: Since I gave birth I have been a believer. I believe in God now.”
The reason why she claims to believe in God is that “I felt like I couldn’t protect my daughter alone and that ‘something’ else has to help me protect her.”
After revealing that he had baptized his daughter, Pedroche also assured that “now I have to marry in the Church” with Dabiz Muñoz, to whom she is united by a civil marriage celebrated at her home before a notary.
Regarding the esoteric practices that he practices, Pedroche has explained that “all these rituals come from my friend Estefanía Ruiz”, a writer which is defined as “a lover of history, analogue photography and natural stones” who trusts “the power of the universe, in good energies and although it is not scientifically proven, I am firmly convinced that the full moon brings out our instincts more primary.”
Pedroche has also stated that from the advice he receives from Ruiz “I believe everything and do everything.”
For example, she wears a red bracelet with a stone on her left wrist: “I feel like it protects me from the evil eye and bad people who say bad things about me. I never take this off. Not to shower or sleep or anything. It always goes with me,” she detailed, before adding: “And the wishes that I ask of the moon, the full moon and the new moon, almost all of them have been fulfilled.”
On the other hand, asked if she has made a “birth chart” for her daughter, she responded: “I have decided not to make a birth chart for my daughter because I do things that can define me. So let them do it to me, okay. But I will not be able to control my daughter’s life. So, let her decide. If when she is older she wants to have an astrological chart done, let her have it done.”
The Code of Canon Law establishes that “the parents of the child who is going to be baptized, and also those who will assume the role of godparents, must be suitably enlightened about the meaning of this sacrament and the obligations it entails; and the parish priest must ensure, personally or through other people, that the parents are duly instructed with pastoral exhortations and even with common prayer, bringing together several families, and visiting them where it is possible to do so” (canon 851).
As Pedroche herself has revealed, the Baptism ceremony took place in the parish of Santa Eulalia in the Vallecas neighborhood (Madrid), where she herself received the baptismal waters.
The parish is run by Children of Merciful Love, a congregation founded by Blessed Mother Esperanza of Jesus. Its parish priest, since December 2028, is Father Antonio Mezquíriz.
This church is part of the Archpriest of San Diego in Vicariate IV of the Archdiocese of Madrid, as is the former parish of San Carlos Borromeo, a place that the Archbishop Emeritus of Madrid, Cardinal Antonio María Rouco Varela, converted into a “pastoral center.” after learning that collective absolution was frequently given there and consecrated with donuts or nougat.
