Giuseppe D’Alonzo, Episcopal Delegate, Giorgio Ciucci, promoter of Justice, and Marcello Terramani, Notary, will participate. All procedural acts, closed in sealed containers, will be delivered to the postulator D. Pierluigi Cameroni, with the task of transmitting them to the dicas supplies for the causes of the saints.

The Diocesan phase is the first official stage in a beatification or canonization process. At this stage there is an exhaustive investigation into the life, virtues and fame of holiness of the candidate to be elevated to the altars.

After its official opening and the appointment of the Court, testimonies of those witnesses who met the person are collected, documents are collected – such as personal or written written letters – and it must also be demonstrated that he has not taught a doctrine contrary to faith.

Once the investigation is finished, the documentation is sent to the Dicasterio for the causes of the saints, thus beginning the so -called “Roman phase.” Once the Vatican Dicastery approves all the documentation, will grant permission to the Diocesan Bishop to officially open the cause, being declared a servant of God.

Later, if it is approved that the heroic virtues lived, the Pope may declare it venerable, the previous step to be proclaimed Blessed.

Who is Mother Rosetta Marchese?

He was born in Aosta (Italy) on October 20, 1922. As a child he met and frequented the daughters of Mary Help of Christians, thus maturing his faith and his ideal of total consecration to God.

After his first religious profession, in 1941, he completed his studies at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, licensed in letters.

From 1947 to 1958 she was a professor and vicaria at the missionary house Mother Mazzarello from Turin, where he paid special attention to the young religious who prepared to leave for the missions. From 1958 to 1974 he performed government tasks in Sicily, Rome and Lombardy.

In 1981 he was elected Superior General, but just eight months after his choice, the first signs of leukemia appeared.

In the circular of October 24, 1982, Madre Rosetta concluded her teaching wishing all her daughters to be infected by Don Bosco “with an acute nostalgia of the ‘beautiful paradise'”, to enter the path of holiness “with a will without return.”

“The goal is unique: reaching paradise with all young people for whom we have delivered and consumed existence,” wrote Mother Rosetta. He died on March 8, 1984, in Rome.

Sor Francesca Caggiano, vicepostulator of the cause of beatification, pointed out That “all who met God’s servant, Mother Rosetta Marchese, were convinced that they were before a woman of the Holy Spirit.”

According to the religious, “he knew how to deeply intuit the consciences and hearts; a woman immersed in God, of whom she perceived and communicated it, a living sign of the love of Jesus Good Shepherd and the tenderness of Mary Help of Christians.”

“Its inner beauty impacted and generated on the people who knew her the desire for evangelical authenticity, her testimony infected a renewal in the commitment of holiness, radicality and joy,” he said.

He also stressed that “the charm of his person came from having put his gaze only in Jesus, of having lost in Jesus, in the Trinity with the title of wife.”

In fact, Mother Rosetta wrote on a page of her notebook: “Our intimacy with God is fertility, it is the fertility of the congregation that needs souls that are husbands of the Holy Spirit.”
