In just a few days Rome will host the first jubilee event of the Holy Year after the opening of the Holy Doors: the Jubilee of Communication.
From Friday, January 24 to Sunday, January 26, professionals from the world of communication from different countries will meet in the Eternal City to participate in this great event in which program includes an audience with Pope Francis.

Journalists, media operators, video makers, editors, graphic designers, social media administrators… everyone is invited to make this pilgrimage to renew their faith and experience the graces granted by the Jubilee of Hope 2025.
After a welcome and penitential liturgy on the afternoon of January 24 at 5:30 p.m. (local time), the communication experts will participate in a Mass in the Basilica of Saint John Lateran on the occasion of the feast of Saint Francis de Sales, patron saint of journalists and writers.
On Saturday the 25th it will start at 8:00 (local time) with a pilgrimage to the Holy Door of San Pedro, which since it was opened by Pope Francis on December 24, has already been crossed by more than half a million faithful from all over the world.
At the end of the Mass, they will go to the Vatican to participate at 10:00 (local time) in the cultural meeting guided by the Filipino journalist Maria Ressa and Colum McCan, an Irish writer. Later, at 12:30, the meeting with Pope Francis will take place in the Paul VI Hall.
On Saturday afternoon, the Dicastery for Communication offers a cultural and spiritual meeting, also in the Paul VI Hall, followed by the live broadcast from the Institute Augustinian of Vespers presided over by the Holy Father in the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls as a conclusion to the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Later, the documentary “Green Lava”.
Only those who have an invitation will be able to participate in an event aimed at young communicators under the title “Uniting communicators for a shared journey.”
Other conferences and events have also been organized, among which are the talk at the Lateran Palace with the title “Journalism as a mission, giving voice to the voiceless on the outskirts of humanity”, promoted by the Vicariate of Rome, o “Communicating hope and peace”, by the Social Communication Office of the Italian Episcopal Conference in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere.
There will also be a round table organized by the Pauline Family in the Basilica Queen of the Apostles at Montagnola and a meeting with Vaticanists at LUMSA University, promoted by the Spanish Episcopal Conference.
Finally, on January 26, they will participate in the Sunday Mass of the Word of God presided over by Pope Francis at 9:30 (local time) in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
