He has also been rector of the Mons. Alfonso Uribe Jaramillo School, in Rionegro; and the San Luis Beltrán Intermissional Seminary.
The bishop-elect has carried out studies of Spirituality with the Company of Saint Sulpice, in Montreal (Canada) and has participated in the service of the Diocesan Priestly Pastoral, in La Ceja.
Since 2020, he has served as director of the Servants of the Holy Spirit Priestly Association.
