Today, Pope Francis encouraged people to pray for the victims of the landslide that occurred on the highway that connects the Colombian towns of Quibdó and Medellín, in the northeast of the country, which has caused at least 33 deaths, including children.
After concluding the Sunday Angelus prayer, the Holy Father said: “Let us not forget to pray for the victims of the flood that occurred in Colombia that has caused numerous victims.”
The landslide, which occurred on the night of January 12, would have been caused by the intense rains that fell in the area in recent days.
