Pope Francis urged, on this Fourth Sunday of Advent, to think of our neighbors with “the kindness of God,” focusing special attention on those who have been marginalized and on those who, in the last days, are far from “the “Christmas joy.”
“Let us think of everyone, let us think of those who are marginalized, of those who these days are far from the joy of Christmas. Let us think of everyone with the kindness of God,” he exhorted the pilgrims gathered in St. Peter’s Square. this Sunday, December 24, for the Angelus prayer.
The Holy Father recommended not confusing Christmas with consumerism, and therefore invited Christians to “celebrate with simplicity, without waste, and sharing with those who lack what is necessary or lack company.”
