“It is very important to recognize the deep faith, the devotion of the elderly and, in the same way, of the sick when receiving Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. It did me a lot of good to be able to see that testimony and experience the emotion, often tears in my eyes, and the hope in the face of the pain, suffering and ailments that older and sick people experience,” he added.
In the Diocese of Iquique, the Twelve Apostles parish of the commune of Alto Hospicio celebrated with a Mass presided over by the parish priest, Father Carlos Inarejo, in which the group of quasi-modists of Alto Hospicio participated.
After the Mass, the group “Danzares de mi tierra” paid tribute to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Then the caravan led by the quasi-modists on horseback began, followed by the cart that carries the priest carrying the Eucharist, to travel through the streets of the city visiting the sick and giving them the possibility of taking communion.
