Agustín Kast, project coordinator, highlighted the importance of “acting and getting involved” in the face of everyday situations such as fatigue, discouragement or grief in the brothers. “In loneliness, hopelessness and abandonment, Christ seeks to have a space and be an answer,” he stated.
María Paz Mackenna, from the same team, assured that the purpose is “to bring Christ like that water that quenches thirst, like that answer to restlessness. That’s what we do, we work for the soul of Chile,” she said.
Siembra UC is an initiative that unites school and university volunteers to work together for Chile and its Church. To do this, they will visit 14 locations, between the regions of Coquimbo and Los Lagos.
The Housing project, of Christian initiation, mobilizes young university students with the aim of contributing to the solution of the housing deficit in Chile. They will build eight houses in Paine, for families who “are eager to fulfill the dream of having a decent and definitive place to live,” highlighted the general coordinator of this initiative, Nicolás Pérez de Arce.
