aEl documental Wednesday 3:30 p.m., memories of an absencedirected by the Archbishop of Santiago (Chile), Mons. Fernando Chomali, was presented this Thursday at the Centro Culturale di San Luigi dei Francesi, in Rome (Italy).
It is a production of the Directorate of Cultural and University Extension of the Catholic University of the Most Holy Concepción (UCSC), developed while Bishop Chomali was Archbishop of Concepción.
The documentary premiered in Chile in September 2023, within the framework of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the 1973 coup d’état. The film recovers stories from the Group of Relatives of Disappeared Detainees of Concepción, which was born at the time of the dictatorship, under the protection of the Human Rights Pastoral of the local archbishopric.
