Chile: Catholic Church launches special website for the Jubilee of Hope

With the opening of the Holy Doors, Pope Francis has begun the Jubilee of Hope, which takes place during 2025 and seeks to unite Catholics around the world around fraternity and forgiveness.

In this framework, the Catholic Church in Chile enabled a website specially prepared to accompany the faithful in this jubilee year.

The initiative was carried out by the Pastoral Secretariat of the Episcopal Conference of Chile (CECh), and is an annex to the main website of the Episcopate.

There you can find the prayer for this jubilee, the calendar of activities that will take place in Rome this year, information about the celebrations, and the different initiatives that are being carried out in the communities of Chile around the Jubilee.

“This Jubilee is not only a liturgical event, but a call to integral conversion that encompasses both the spiritual and social dimensions of human existence,” they claim the promoters of this proposal.

This is a collective initiative, so the invitation is open to those who wish to share information related to Jubilee 2025 in Chile. Contributions can be sent to secretariadopastoral@conferenciaepiscopal.cl.

In this way, the website seeks to be a space that collects the wealth of communities throughout Chile: parishes, higher education institutions, schools, Movements, etc.

“The pilgrimage symbolizes the journey of life, with its joys, struggles and hopes. Thus, Jubilee 2025 is configured as an opportunity to strengthen faith and renew commitment to the evangelizing mission of the Church. It is also an occasion for each believer to reflect on their role in building a more humane and supportive world,” they point out.
