“After keeping in mind the three murdered police officers – may they rest in peace – the topics on which we have focused the most in the meeting have been the insecurity that citizens have faced, the situation of migrants, and the role of religious confessions in collaboration in the construction of the common good,” he explained.
“We express to Mr. President our desire as pastors to collaborate in whatever is on our part, as has traditionally been the attitude of the Church in Chile, to create conditions of peace, dialogue and understanding. Everything that favors the common good,” added Mons. Rebolledo.
For his part, Boric recorded the meeting with a photograph in his social network account (formerly Twitter), where he expressed his “best wishes” to the new directors of the Episcopal Conference.
