Given these events, which are still under investigation, the Archbishopric of Santiago clarified that “the elderly woman who lives in her private home in Nuñoa is not religious, nor does she belong to an institute of consecrated life of the Catholic Church.”
“Her daughter is religious and came from Italy recently to take care of her,” the statement details.
In relation to the deceased woman, the Archbishopric explained: “We have no record that she is a religious woman, nor a consecrated woman of this Archdiocese.”
