A note of 40 days for life Santo Domingosent to ACI Press, points out that the Eucharist was chaired by Fr. Kennedy Rodríguez, Communication and Press Director of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, and concelebrated by Father Manuel Ruiz, spiritual advisor of the Provida organization.

In his homily, Fr. Ruiz highlighted the importance of defending life from conception, remembering the “yes” to God of the Virgin Mary, who made possible the birth of the Child Jesus.

The priest also referred to the decline in birth in today’s world and highlighted the importance of defending human life, when many prioritize the defense of animals and plants. “We are sent on behalf of the Lord to be an army of light and protect the defenseless,” he said.

The presbyter also called all the faithful not to give in to the “culture of death” and, instead, “light the flame of hope in favor of life.”

After remembering that all human life begins in conception, Fr. Ruiz said: “Here we are, Lord, to do your will.”
