“Chiki-Tito”, what the mini electric car made in Argentina is like and how much it costs

Coradir, the San Luis company that created the TITO electric car and the TITA electric pickup truck, has just added a new model to its range: “Chiki-Tito”an electric microcar that is presented as the cheapest in the region.

Cuesta $7,900 (6,531,325 pesos at the current exchange rate), and according to the brand it has an approximate cost of $1.5 per kilometer traveleda fare much lower than urban public transport.

Like the rest of the range, the Chiki is assembled in the country with parts imported from China. The chassis is made of steel and the two-door body is made of plastic.

This is the smallest model developed by the company from San Luis. It offers capacity for two passengers seated in tandem and measures 2.50 meters long (33 centimeters less than the TITO S2) and 1.20 meters wide (30 cm less); dimensions that make it an interesting vehicle to maneuver in small spaces.

What does it have and what is it missing?

The Chiki-Tito has an electric motor of 2 kW (equivalent to 2.7 horsepower) allowing a maximum speed of 45 km/h.

It has capacity for two people, located in tandem.

This system is powered by a lithium battery manufactured in San Luis, which allows it to achieve an autonomy of 70 kilometers (circulating at 25 km/h).

From the brand they communicated to Clarion They are carrying out tests with another battery with a higher capacity so that the vehicle can reach 150 kilometers of autonomy.

Like any electric vehicle, it does not require engine maintenance (change of fluids and filters), only brakes, shock absorbers and tires.

As for equipment, it offers electric windows, central locking with remote control, digital dashboard, electric sunroof, multimedia system, Bluetooth and rear view camera, among others. Air conditioning is offered as optional, as are parking sensors.

With respect to safety, it has disc brakes but does not have airbags or stability control, since this type of vehicle meets the homologation category. L6 (up to 45 km/h and no more than 350 kg of weight).
