The Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) has definitively renounced the planned collaboration with the former Jesuit Marko Rupnik, who was initially presented as the driving force behind the new chapel project on its campus, as ACI Prensa has learned for the first time.
Located in the town of Pozuelo de Alarcón, near Madrid (Spain), this training center linked to the Legionaries of Christ, launched the construction of a new chapel in September 2022, when the Archbishop Emeritus of Madrid, Cardinal Carlos Osoro, blessed its first stone.
In the original project, there was close collaboration with Father Marko Rupnik. The University itself defended then that it was “the first work of architecture in which Rupnik has been involved in the entire process of creating the project, starting with the theological and symbolic foundation of the temple.”
