After a complaint against Catholic Relief Services (CRS)—the humanitarian arm of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)—of having participated in contraception and abortion programs in some African countries, the organization told ACI Prensa that the accusations in against them “are completely unfounded.”
And joint study published by the Lepanto Institute (LI) y el Population Research Institute (PRI) pointed out that CRS openly promotes campaigns to promote condoms and contraceptives, as well as the implementation of health referral networks “that included promoters and providers of abortions and contraceptives” in various African countries.
PRI President Steven Mosher Indian that CRS “has, in multiple countries, referred girls as young as 10 to abortion and contraceptive providers.” In addition, he denounced that the organization “has even corrupted the good morals of young women with its own materials.”
