Catholic Music Awards 2025: They are the ‘Grammy’ finalists of Catholic music

The finalists of the first edition of the Catholic Music Awards (Catholic music awards), the International Prize that celebrates the best of Catholic music in four languages: Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese.

Organized by the Ramón Pané Foundation, with the sponsorship of the Dicastery for Communication, this award seeks to “exalt, recognize and promote the creativity of all those: composers, singers, musicians, producers, engineers and mixers, who have contributed to evangelization through music,” says the official site.

It also seeks to encourage musical production with better content and quality to reach Catholics and support their musical projects.

The 2025 edition has 19 Categories that cover various genres and styles, such as best album, best female singer, best male singer, best liturgical song, best praise song, Best Unpublished Song, Best Production, Best Evangelization Song, Best Parish Choir, among others.

The finalists were selected by an international jury that evaluated the evangelizing content, the technical quality and spiritual impact of each work.

The ceremony will be held Sunday July 27 at 7:00 pm (local time) In the Vatican Conciliazione Auditorium, and will be broadcast live by streaming: catholicmusicawards.world.

Nathalí Paredes, among the finalists

Among the finalist artists is the Nathalí Paredes Peruvian, singer -songwriter and content producer of Ewtn News, with her theme I belong to youfinalist in the category “Best song of praise and worship”.

“It was a great emotion and thanks … I saw it as a great detail of the Lord’s love, of those that surprise you in ways that you never imagined,” said the artist in an interview with Aci Press.

The song was born during the pandemic, in front of an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. “Every time I sing, my heart moves a lot. It is that total delivery to him, that loved me so much and loves that we are worth the blood of Christ … Uff!” Nathalí shared.

On his decision to participate in this first edition, he said: “God put in my heart that mood to send two songs. One to the Virgin and another of worship for him. It encouraged me to be a great world contest, which is held in the Jubilee Year and in the Jubilee of the Young people.”

For her, the nomination is not only for her “a great honor and blessing”, but an impulse to continue evangelizing, and “knowing that the message on each subject listens to it on other sides and can reach beyond what you imagined.”
