Since January 19, Ciudad Eten, in Peru, has become the permanent home of a first -degree relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a young man known for his fervent devotion to the Eucharist and for evangelizing through the Internet.
Carlo died at age 15 from a leukemia and was beatified in Assisi in 2020. His canonization is scheduled for April 27, 2025.

The enthronement Mass of the relic – which consists of a lock of Blessed hair – was held in the parish of Santa Magdalena, in the town of Ciudad Eten, in the northern diocese of Chiclayo, where on June 2, 1649 the divine Child manifested himself in a consecrated host during the Eucharist of the eve of the solemnity of Corpus Christi.
Since its arrival, the relic has aroused a deep fervor in the local community.
