For this reason, the Cardinal encouraged the priests to “organize at our parish headquarters and chapels, moments in which our faithful with us live the action requested by Pope León.”
In that sense and “in attention to the call of the Holy Father León”, in the Managua Metropolitan Cathedral “The prayer day will be held from 10:00 am.” Says a publication of the main church of the capital of Nicaragua.

The persecution of the dictatorship against the Catholic Church in Nicaragua
Since 2018, the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and his wife and co -president, Rosario Murillo, have intensified the persecution against the Catholic Church, with the monitoring and constant harassment against the priests, who even have to show their cell phones to the agents that monitor them, also in their churches.

Molina is the author of the report Nicaragua: a persecuted churchwhich in its last edition accounts for almost1,000 attacks of the dictatorship against the Church. He recently announced that he will soon announce the seventh edition of it.
