The Archbishop of Madrid, Cardinal José Cobo, has established a Consulting Group of the Conciliar Seminary of Madrid, made up of three lay people, one nun and three priests with the objective of “advising and connecting more intensely the formation and activities of the Seminary of Madrid with the needs and diocesan life,” according to a statement from the Archdiocese.
The members of this new body will offer “guidelines and advice to the rector of the seminary and the team of trainers.” Through periodic meetings, the Consulting Group will convey “the vision and requests that the diocese makes to the formation process and the organization of the seminar.”
These seven people are Father José Manuel Sacristán, parish priest of Canencia; Father Lorenzo de Santos, director of the Higher Institute of Pastoral Care; Father Rafael Herruzo, parish priest of Our Lady of Europe; Julia García Monge, Calasantian nun and three lay women: Marta Medina Balguerias, theologian professor at the Pontifical University of Comillas; Julia Parra, with a long career in the Manos Unidas Church NGO and Leticia Arroyo Rufo, parish catechist.
