Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes, Primate Archbishop of Mexico, recently revealed that the Holy Father entrusted him with creating the “Pope Francis Memorial” in the country, as an initiative to promote awareness about the transmission of faith from generation to generation.
Through a video messageCardinal Aguiar reported that he met in private audience with the Holy Father on Saturday, April 27, where he was “explaining to him and giving him a document with the process of our Archdiocese of Mexico towards a Synodal Church.”
In the framework of this meeting, the Holy Father himself reminded him of the request he made to the cardinal “a few months ago”: “to establish a papal institution called ‘Pope Francis Memorial’.”
