On the other hand, he referred to the violation of religious freedom, since “the closure of the institution unduly affects the autonomy of the Church to pursue its own purposes, which includes religious education, and all the actions inherent to it,” which “imposes restrictions that undermine the possibility of transmitting knowledge from Catholic philosophy and teaching.”
For this reason, he urged the relevant authorities “to review this situation and guarantee respect for the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution and the international treaties signed by Bolivia.”
