A decisive vote
On April 5, the European Parliament reported that, “in the face of the decline of sexual and reproductive health rights in several EU Member States”, the MEPs “want to enshrine the right to abortion in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU, a demand that has been made by several times”.
In their statement they also praised France, which on March 4 became the first country to include the right to abortion in your Constitution.
An eventual result in favor of this resolution after the votes next Thursday, April 11, despite not having any legal consequences, will provide an incentive for other countries that wish to do so, protected by the European Union, to join the decision of France.
