Also elected as first vice president of the CEP were Mons. Jorge Izaguirre Rafael, Bishop of Chosica; and as second vice president Mons. Luis Barrera Pacheco, Bishop of Callao.

Mons. Carlos García Camader is the new president of the CEP. He was born on August 14, 1954. He is 70 years old.
At the age of 20 he entered the Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo Seminary in Lima. He studied Philosophy and Theology at the Faculty of Pontifical and Civil Theology in Lima and at the Teresian Institute of the Gregorian University in Rome.
He was ordained a priest on December 8, 1981. Between 1991 and 1996; and then between 1999 and 2002 he was rector of the Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo Seminary
He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Lima on February 16, 2002. He has been Bishop of Lurín since 2006.
In the CEP he served until now as second vice president. He was part of the Ethics Commission for Justice and Reconciliation (2015-2017) that collected testimonies of abuses from the Sodalicio de Vida Cristiana (SVC).
