Other issues will be the work of the Social Pastoral Cáritas, the participation of the Church in Ecuador in the Ecclesial Conference of the Amazon (CEAMA), the elaboration of the pastoral lines for the period 2025-2033, and “Ecclesial communication in times of crisis, in addition to other current issues”.
The Assembly, a space also for fraternity among bishops, is carried out “in a climate of prayer, listening and dialogue” to be able to “accompany the communities in their challenges.”
To conclude, the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference “reaffirms its mission of being a prophetic voice and hope in the midst of difficulties, and its commitment to walk alongside the Ecuadorian people towards a more just, solidarity and peaceful society.”
