The bishop of Orihuela-Aliante, Mons. José Ignacio Munilla, has highlighted five lessons to extract from the forgiveness of the widow of Charlie Kirk, Érika, to the murderer of her husband.
In a message disseminated through its social networks, the Spanish prelate described the testimony offered by Erika Kirk during the funeral last Sunday at the State Farm Stadium of Glendale de Glendale de Arizona (USA) and detailed five teachings:

First, the prelate confirmed the known saying that “behind a great man, there is always a great woman”, before ensuring as second learning that “Kirk’s cultural battle against gender ideology, as well as his defense of goodness and beauty of marriage, family and life, have become inspiration for many young people.”
The third teaching extracted by Mons. Munilla is that “Erika’s forgiveness message (‘hate is not fought with hate’) assumes that Charlie Kirk’s spiritual legacy exceeds her own ideological limits.”

In relation to this message, the prelate highlights in fourth place the contradiction that “in the same act that Erika invoked forgiveness and mercy, Trump promised hatred to his rivals.” In this sense, Mons. Munilla added that “only three days before the further farewell to Charlie Kirk, Trump had vetoed the resolution of the Nations Security Council” in which “the cessation of the slaughter of innocents in Gaza, the liberation of hostages and the openness to humanitarian aid” was required.
Fifth, Mons. Munilla presented the last lesson on the forgiveness of Erika Kirk: “Marriage is the way of holiness: the spiritual legacy of Charlie Kirk surpasses Charlie Kirk himself, thanks to the communion of Christian marriage.”
