After exhibiting it as a preview at its Cariló stand, Audi Argentina launched the Q5 Sportbackthe version with a sporty aesthetic that was never available in our market and arrives to expand the Q5 range.
Like the traditional model, the Q5 Sportback is imported from Mexico, becoming the brand’s third coupe-style SUV, behind the Q3 Sportback and e-tron Sportback.
The range is made up of two versions of equipment (Advanced and S-Line), which are differentiated by aesthetic details (grille, side air intakes and rear bumper). There are 12 body colors available and a variety of optional trims, including a black styling package.
In terms of equipment, the 45 TFSI Advanced version stands out for wearing 19-inch wheels and 235/35 tires, sunroof, leather and synthetic leather upholstery, lights with 100% LED technology, multimedia system with 10.1″ screen, parking sensors front and rear with reversing camera, and sports seats with electric adjustment and heating.
While the 45 TFSI S-Line variant has 20-inch wheels (the tires are 255/45 size), sports suspensions, leather and microfiber upholstery, a three-spoke sports steering wheel with paddles and unique aesthetic details.
In terms of dimensions, it measures 4.69 meters long (7 mm more than the standard version), 1.89 m. wide and 1.66 m. high, with a wheelbase of 2.82 meters.
Efficient mechanics
Both versions feature a mild-hybrid propulsion system composed of the gasoline engine 2.0 turbo 245 horsepower and another electric one that serves as support, thus benefiting fuel savings.
The figures are not very significant: 0.3 liters per 100 kilometers, as stated by Audi. However, other benefits are added that enhance your driving comfort. For example, if you take your foot off the accelerator while traveling at cruising speed, the system turns off the engine for short periods but without stopping the operation of other functions such as the air conditioning.
Basically, this is achieved thanks to a lithium-ion battery and a small electric motor linked to the crankshaft of the combustion engine by a belt that operate at a voltage of 12 volts.
This system also allows the combustion engine to be started, assist it in acceleration phases and recover and store energy in deceleration phases.
It is associated with the efficient 7-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic automatic transmission, and the Quattro Ultra all-wheel drive, whose system allows it to connect and disconnect automatically.
