They met with the Holy Father Mons. Luis Cabrera, Archbishop of Guayaquil and president of the EEC; Mons. Alfredo Espinoza, Archbishop of Quito and vice president of the EEC; Mons. David de la Torre, Auxiliary Bishop of Quito and general secretary of the episcopate and Fr. Enrique Umaña, deputy secretary of the EEC.
