Pope Francis will preside over the Holy Mass and the traditional Ash Wednesday procession on February 14 on the Aventine Hill in Rome.
The Office of Liturgical Celebrations reported this Tuesday, February 6, that before the Eucharist, the Holy Father will preside over the first Lenten season in the church of Saint Anselm, on the Aventine, at 4:30 pm (local time).
Later, Pope Francis will participate in the penitential procession to the Basilica of Santa Sabina, where he will celebrate Mass at 5:00 pm and bless the ashes that will be imposed on the faithful.
