In a recent interview published by the newspaper The debateproperty of the Catholic Association of Propagandists (ACdP), the Archbishop of Oviedo, Mons. Jesús Sanz Montes affirms that the Decree Begging for confidence on the pastoral meaning of blessings “sometimes it is Folding confidence”.
The Archbishop thus refers to the situation in which the successors of the apostles are left when it comes to making decisions in their particular churches: “We bishops will have to do this entire journey without knowing you with the certainty and support that, above all, from your local ministry, someone is supporting you, illuminating you, accompanying you. And sometimes you have to make a decision with a kind of exposure, in which these types of strange documents are and continue to be published.”
The Prelate also puts to Begging for confidence as an example of the “anthropological confusion” caused, for example, by the fact that “gender ideology has penetrated the Church.”
