Young people from the “Vocational Renewal Camp” Movement (Cam.Re.Voc), belonging to the Salesian Youth Movement of the province of Corrientes (Argentina), presented an innovative proposal in terms of communication: a streaming that shares current affairs and Catholic material.
“As we usually watch streams and understand the logic of the move, we think we are suitable to carry it out; “In addition, we only need a computer, an internet connection, a camera and a microphone,” explain the young people who carry out the project, in a statement.

After a first “test” stream, and seeing that they felt comfortable and that there was a good reception from the public, they decided to continue it as a project “with a life of its own” within the movement’s activity.
“Making and watching streams allows us to learn more about them, what they talk about, how they talk and what makes them laugh. Used properly, the streaming “It is a powerful tool to create a community,” they considered.
Regarding the link between the space and the specific pastoral activity they carry out, they recognized that “the streaming “It should be a means for young people from any part of the world to come closer to the Salesian Work and learn more about the things of God.”
They also added: “The streaming It connects us with the way of speaking of today’s young people. It allows us to reach more young people, to show that you can be a good Christian and honest citizen with a youthful humor adapted to the times.”
With humor and spontaneity, young Salesians share interviews, information about events and dialogues among themselves in which they talk about God, the Salesian charism and the “Vocational Renewal Camp” movement.
