A priest from the Diocese of Lomas de Zamora (Argentina) who had been suspended from his duties for being accused of sexual abuse, turned himself in to the police this Saturday, upon learning that the authorities had gone to look for him at the parish.
So it indicates Infobae, also detailing that the reason for which he was arrested is the alleged sexual abuse of an 18-year-old girl, which occurred for several months in the Nuestra Señora de Fátima parish, where the accused had worked as parish administrator for six years. The bishopric confirmed to ACI Prensa the priest’s arrest.
Local media They affirm that the case began in 2023 and that the police searched for the priest in the parish at the request of prosecutor Marcela Juan, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 6 of Lomas de Zamora, and by order of the Court of Guarantees 1 of that judicial department.
