Originally from the province of Mendoza, the 62-year-old bishop received his training in the Congregation of the Missionaries Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (known as Claretian missionaries, after its founder Saint Anthony Mary Claret).
On January 14, 1990, he made his first religious profession and on March 25, 1995, he made his final vows with solemn profession. He was ordained a priest on July 20, 1996.
The prelate received his episcopal consecration at the UPCN Volleyball Stadium in the city of San Juan, on June 18, 2022, from the Archbishop of San Juan de Cuyo, Mons. Jorge Eduardo Lozano. His episcopal motto is: “Adore, walk and accompany.”
His appointment, he assured in a statement, is “really an immense challenge.” However, he assured: “It fills my heart with joy to walk with you, so that we can continue to make this synodal Church that is a pilgrim in Mar del Plata a reality.”
