The Argentine apostolate Vocation to Love organizes a retreat-experience for young people entitled “Hágase”, which seeks to answer different questions linked to life, love, happiness and sexuality.
The retreat, aimed at young people between 17 and 29 years old, will take place from Wednesday, July 17 to Sunday, July 21 at Estancia Las Mercedes, in the town of Manucho, province of Santa Fe.

The activities planned for this meeting will take place in a community environment and in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. It is an invitation for young people to discover “their value and dignity, the ‘original design’ of the Creator for men and women, the impact that breaking with God brings to interpersonal relationships and – above all – they are to experience a perfect love that transforms desires and guides them again,” say its organizers.
Among the questions that will find space for reflection can be found: “What is the meaning of life? What is love? Is it possible to be happy? How to achieve fulfillment as men and women? Does the Church offer a way to live sexuality with joy?
From Vocation to Love they anticipate that this experience will give the opportunity to learn the fundamental elements of the catechesis on “Human love in the divine plan”, given by Saint John Paul II between 1979 and 1984, whose content will be transmitted through dynamic talks , moments of prayer, sacraments, outdoor activities and nights of communion and grace.

What is Vocation to Love?
The Catholic apostolate “Vocation to Love” was born on September 8, 2019, after a Eucharistic Adoration. Since then, its mission has been to spread the Theology of the Body of Saint John Paul II through in-person retreats, courses and virtual workshops.
Its founder, María Fernanda Quinteros, says that “throughout these years we have been witnesses of how the experience of Trinitarian Love and especially of Jesus in the Eucharist makes possible a path of healing and inner transformation. We see how – paraphrasing John Paul II – “love wins”, and young people who were even very wounded are reborn to hope and prepare to respond to their call to Love.”
For her, in addition, “the context of the face-to-face meeting is key. Online training instances are very valuable, but insufficient. We need the encounter with the other.”
Father Leandro Bonnin, coordinating member since 2020, emphasizes for his part that “John Paul II loved young people very much, and he continually proposed to them a high ideal: holiness. He trusted that young people long for a beautiful love, even if it is demanding, and that if they sometimes take wrong paths, it is because they are not always shown the truth.”
“We are convinced and have experience that still – and perhaps especially today – there is a thirst for truth, for a proposal that drives us beyond ourselves. The Theology of the Body is mobilizing many young people to put themselves at risk and dare to live the adventure of true love,” she says.
