December and January are months of recess from academic activities and the most frequently chosen time to go on vacation in Argentina. For this reason, the missionary calendar is reactivated for these dates, and numerous groups of young people set out to bring the message of Christ to different parts of the country.
One of the destinations of many groups is the Diocese of Añatuya, in one of the poorest areas of Argentina, which between December and January received more than 700 young people from schools, congregations and parishes from different places in Argentina.

Among the provinces that sent their representatives were Buenos Aires, Córdoba (Capital and Río Cuarto), Santa Fe (Rosario and Rafaela), Mendoza, Salta and Jujuy. The young people carried the message of Christ and sought to be instruments of hope at the beginning of this Jubilee Year.
About 90 young people from local parishes also joined these initiatives, in a search to strengthen the unity of the communities and faith in the diocese.
Among the local missionaries and those who arrived from the other dioceses, there were more than 750 young people who visited Añatuya bringing the Word of God, their testimonies and closeness, accompanied by priests, religious, teachers, and catechists.
Within this framework, they toured rural communities and peripheral neighborhoods in northern Argentina, approaching families and communities without paying attention to the high temperatures and the fatigue inherent in long walks.
From the Diocese of Añatuya, collects the AICA agencyvalued the presence of these missionaries, which “has been a great blessing for all of us.”
“We have felt deeply accompanied and appreciated by each of these gestures, which have left an indelible mark on our hearts,” they added in the Argentine diocese.
“In a context as challenging as the current one, it is especially talented to see so many young people carrying the Gospel with joy and enthusiasm. “This is a message of hope, particularly significant in this Jubilee Year,” they considered.
