Every September 21, with the arrival of spring, Student’s Day is celebrated in Argentina, a date on which young people take the opportunity to go out into the streets to celebrate, taking advantage of the good weather.
This date is also an occasion to reflect on the value of life, youth, and the importance of starting over, as nature demonstrates at this time: after the harshest winter, comes the opportunity to green up.
In this framework, the Auxiliary Bishop of San Isidro and person in charge of the Youth Ministry of the Episcopal Commission for Life, Laity and Family (CEVILAF), Mons. Raúl Pizarro, shared a message with ACI Prensa.
“Youth is a valuable time, marked by dreams that drive you to seek a more beautiful and full life,” said the bishop. “It is a time of searches and attempts, it is the age of great decisions,” he added.
In “a time of great changes in the world,” the bishop expressed: “How beautiful and how challenging it is to be young today!” Many of them, the prelate considered, “live disoriented and do not find meaning in their existence.”
Therefore, addressing all the young people, he exclaimed: “Courage! “Do not lose joy and hope, do not let yourself be carried away by anxiety, do not give up.”
“Fight and work to achieve your dreams. As Pope Francis often says: ‘Do not look at life from a balcony’, take risks without fear of making mistakes,” he encouraged.
“God wants you happy, learn to live with gratitude and having Jesus as a friend,” he advised at the end of his message. “Happy day to all the young people!” He concluded.
