“Enrique Shaw’s cause has already passed the first instance that was the medical consultation and now the theologian experts, who study the sentences addressed to the ‘candidate’ and the fruits of the same, expressed on Tuesday the unanimous opinion about prayer asking for the grace of healing,” explained the prelate, encouraging to continue praying “with renewed faith and trust.”
Mons. Olivera is in Rome, where before the verdict of the theological commission, he maintained a private hearing with the Holy Father, who could comment on this cause of canonization. In an interview with the “In Code Grote” program, the Argentine bishop also gave details about the meeting.
“I could talk about several causes, and I told him about Enrique Shaw, and gave me a lot of joy. I told him that today the theological commission was gathered (…) I said: then if God wants, he will go to the ordinary commission of cardinals and bishops, and then you, if you consider it, you will have to sign, and we will have a new blessed, and smiled,” the prelate said.
