Mons. Luis Darío Martín has been elected Diocesan Administrator of Santa Rosa (Argentina) by the Diocese Consultant College.
The appointment of Mons. Martín arrives after having been for six years auxiliary bishop of Santa Rosa, a position with which he accompanied the pastoral government of Mons. Raúl Martín, who recently took possession as Archbishop of Paraná.

From this designation, Mons. Luis Martín will assume the grazing of the diocese until Pope Leo XIV name a new bishop.
The diocesan administrator has the duties and enjoys the power of the diocesan bishop, although, according to the current provisions, he must not make innovations during the vacant headquarters period.
His position ceases when the new bishop takes possession of the diocese.
Who is Mons. Luis Darío Martín?
Luis Darío Martín was born in General Pico, La Pampa, on March 4, 1961. He was ordained a priest on November 17, 1990 by Cardinal Antonio Quarracino, then Archbishop of Buenos Aires.
On March 20, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop of Santa Rosa and received the episcopal consecration on June 1, 2019 in the National Basilica and Sanctuary of Our Lady of Luján.
His episcopal motto is: “Do you in me, according to your word.”
