With the solemn lowering of the image of Our Lady of the Valley, the Diocese of Catamarca (Argentina) began the novena in honor of its Patroness Virgin, whose central feast will be on December 8.
The celebrations have as their motto “With Christ and Mary, let us walk together as Church”, and will be held in the Cathedral, Basilica and Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Valley, including those on December 7 and 8, which were initially announced in the Adán Quiroga park.
As happens every year, the image was taken on Wednesday from the dressing room to the presbytery. The ceremony was presided over by the Bishop, Mons. Luis Urbanč, who was in charge of transporting the image together with priests of the local clergy. As he passed by, he received the fervent greeting of the faithful who filled the temple.
