The Bishop of Orán (Argentina), Bishop Luis Scozzina, Franciscan religious of the San Francisco Solano Province in Argentina, and representatives of the local community, repudiated the threats suffered by Fray Rubén Jesús Sica, rector of the Virgen de la Peña Sanctuary in Tartagal, province of Salta.
Last Thursday, the Franciscan religious received an anonymous manuscript with a death threat and strong insults, so he was forced to take measures to protect his integrity.
Although the reason for the threats is unknown, security measures have been reinforced at the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Peña while investigations are carried out.
