In many cases, Father Cardarelli explained, parishes and chapels have had to adapt their activities to the situation, because people are afraid to leave their homes, especially at later times. “It is a situation that is no longer tolerated,” he insisted.
Regarding the change of government – new authorities of the Executive Branch at all levels will take office on December 10 – the Social Pastoral advisor hoped “that they can give a response, as they have promised to do.”
“If the State is there to manage the common good, it has not been noted that it has been done, whether due to incompetence, carelessness, meanness, complicity, we do not know, but we need this to be done and urgently in Rosario,” he exhorted.
“We know that salvation comes from God, that we cannot expect it from democracy, no matter how good and necessary democracy is, but we also need the authorities to do their part,” he claimed.
