Archdiocese of Ibagué will transmit your Congress on San José

Deepen and disseminate the devotion to San José is among the objectives of the IV Josefino Congress organized by the Archdiocese of Ibagué (Colombia), which can be followed through social networks.

The event will take place from March 21 to 23 at the Tolimense College, however, it will also be broadcast by Social networks of the archdiocese and the Radio Arquidiocesana the Immaculatefor those who cannot live it in person.

In a video, the archbishop of Ibagué, Mons. Orlando Roa Barbosa, said that Congress is an opportunity to deepen Josefina spirituality. “It is a very important moment in the life of our archdiocese, which has seen flourish and fructifying knowledge, devotion and love of San José,” he said.

In a press release, the Archdiocese of Ibagué pointed out that the event carries by motto “San José, man of hope, full of the Holy Spirit.” The speakers will be Mons. Marco Antonio Merchán Ladino, Bishop of Neiva; Mons. Miguel Fernando González Marín, Bishop of El Espinal; and Mons. Flavio Calle Zapata, Archbishop Emeritus de Ibagué.

The Congress will be inaugurated on Friday 21 with a Mass in the Immaculate Conception Metropolitan Cathedral, followed by an organ concert, directed by Fr. Óscar Andrés Torres Ávila.

The other two days “the agenda will be developed at the Tolimense School in which the teachings will be alternated, with moments of prayer and testimonies. The Congress will end on Sunday, March 23 with a pilgrimage to the Cathedral and the Holy Mass, with which the participants will have the opportunity to win plenary indulgence,” he said.

The archdiocese said that among the fruits that these congresses have given is the increase in “the Josefinos groups in the parishes, the Eucharistic cult in the worship chapels, the expressions of Christian charity and the felt manifestations of popular devotion to the patriarch Holy.”
