Archbishop: Theft of hosts consecrated for esotericism implies the penalty of excommunication

The Archbishop of Lima (Peru), Mons. Carlos Castillo Mattasoglio, has clarified that the “theft and vile use” of the Eucharist implies the penalty of excommunication. The Peruvian prelate’s message comes a few days after, in a YouTube program, a supposed “seer” encouraged the use of consecrated hosts in purification rituals.
