Cardinal Wilton Gregory, Archbishop of Washington (United States), stated on Sunday that President Joe Biden “picks and chooses” elements of the Catholic faith to follow, that he is “sincere” in his faith, but refuses to compromise on some of the challenging aspects of it.
The cardinal made these statements on the CBS news program Face the Nation, Easter Sunday. She appeared on the panel show with Washington Episcopalian “bishop” Mariann Budde.
When asked by host Ed O’Keefe about Biden’s “regular (Mass) attendance” and his “adherence to the faith,” Cardinal Gregory noted that Biden, the second Catholic president in U.S. history, is ” very sincere about his faith.
